Tariff Updates:
  • New Executive Orders issued on food products: Key agricultural products including coffee, tea, tropical fruits, and beef were exempted from “reciprocal tariffs”.
  • U.S. extended several tariff exclusions: The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative announced extensions to certain tariff exclusions previously set to expire, delaying immediate rate changes through November 2026 for affected product groups.
  • Framework agreement continues to shape retaliation/suspension measures: Several previously announced retaliatory tariffs have now been paused or adjusted, providing relief to importers, especially those in the agriculture and industrial sectors.
  • Tariff uncertainty is still influencing sourcing decisions: With tariffs exceeding $200 billion and a major Supreme Court ruling pending, businesses are adjusting supplier strategies and closely monitoring which goods may face higher costs in the coming months.
How Imperative Logistics Can Support You:
  • Customs & tariff advisory: We’ll review your products and their classifications, advise whether recent exclusions apply, and prepare documentation to minimize customs delays.
  • Contingency routing & capacity booking: Secure alternative shipment options, airlift, and routing strategies to keep your supply chain moving smoothly.
  • Flexible Shipping Strategies: We coordinate with you to identify and implement alternative transport options such as modifying origins or adjusting transit schedules to help minimize the financial impact of newly imposed tariffs.
  • Real-time visibility & priority handling: Prioritized monitoring, daily exception reports and fast escalation channels so you have one-click status on at-risk shipments.
