- CBP CAPE Phase II Expansion: U.S. Customs and Border Protection has expanded CAPE reconciliation monitoring to additional entry types (01, 02, 06). This increases visibility into unliquidated entries. It also tightens oversight near liquidation deadlines.
- Section 301 Brazil Investigation Advances: USTR has proposed a 25% additional tariff on certain imports from Brazil. The proposal relates to digital trade practices, IP enforcement, ethanol access, and environmental policy. Public comments and hearings are ongoing. A final decision is expected later this year.
- Forced Labor Enforcement Expansion Under Section 301 Framework: USTR has proposed additional duties of 10%–12.5%. The scope covers imports from about 60 trading partners. The action is tied to forced labor enforcement gaps. Product exemptions and sector-specific rules may apply. The comment period is open through July 6, 2026.
